A very good day

Today was another wonderful day!

Raven spent all night at our house. She slept beside my crate-den in a blanket-nest that my person made for her. The cats were all downstairs so she could sleep without being scared.

Then, when the people started to wake up, we both got to lie on the bed. Raven lay at the bottom of the bed. I lay on top of Momma B. For some reason this made groaning noises come out of Momma B.

Later we went to Dallas Road beach.

This is how you can tell that Raven and I came from the same doggy-mom.

After Beach we drove for a long time. When we got out we were at Raven's house! I looked for her people but they weren't there. We played with a ball in Raven's yard.

Then her people came! Yay! I love Raven's people almost as much as I love my own people. But then something very sad happened. I went home with my person, and Raven stayed behind.

Although, the good thing is that I was able to sleep all afternoon!

This was the best sleep-over ever!

My surprise

All morning the people were telling me that they were going to bring me a surprise. I waited, but it didn't come.

Then I started getting worried. One of my dog friends at Park told me that his people brought him a surprise, and it was a yappy annoying puppy.

Then the people left. I had a bone. I ate my bone and wondered about my surprise.

When the people came back, they had my surprise with them. But it wasn't a yappy annoying puppy. It was a really good surprise!

It was RAVEN!!

I bounced up and down and made whine noises and pushed into her body... oh please oh please oh please play with me!

Raven was a little worried. She doesn't usually go places without her people.

So I took her on a tour of my house with my people. They had treats for her. Then we got in the car and went to Beach!

Raven made good friends with my littlest person.

After Beach I thought Raven would go home like she usually does, but she didn't. She stayed with us!

We shared dinner. Then the people took us to Park. Then we hung out in the yard. Now it's night and almost bed time and Raven is still here!

I'm very sleepy. Raven is too, but she's having a hard time sleeping. She doesn't like the cats. Jack keeps trying to rub on her body. This is very scary for her. I tried to tell her that it's okay, but she's still worried.

I think this is what my littlest person calls "sleep over". My people are trying hard to make her feel safe, just like they do with the little people friends that come to stay.

I wonder where we will sleep tonight? Will we share my crate-den? It's a little small...

Something wonderful!

This morning something wonderful happened!

Momma B took me to a place where people park their cars. Nearby was the forest, and I could smell a lake too. We waited in the hot sun. I didn't know why we were waiting. I wanted to go play in the forest!

After what felt like a very long time (Momma B says "five minutes", I think that's a long time!) another car came. We walked towards it. Suddenly I realized - I know that car!

I started jumping up and down, and making whine noises, and pawing at the car. Let me in! Let me in!

Guess who was in the car?

This was the most wonderful surprise ever, even better than ice cream!

Raven is my sister and my best friend.

Raven's person was there too. We all went for a walk together around the lake.

What a wonderful morning!!

Raven Day

Today was Raven Day. I was worried that I was going to miss her because I went with Momma C in the truck instead of going to "office", which is where Raven comes to find me. But Raven's people must be magic because they found me anyways. Whew!

I had a wonderful time with Raven. She is my favourite friend in the whole world.

Here I am as a very little puppy. I didn't even know my people yet.

Notice that Raven is beside me. She is the very black puppy. I have known her all my life and being with her makes me happy. I love her very much.

My favourite things

Walks in the forest and walks by the sea
Ice cream and popcorn and chicken for me
Bouncing through snow with legs like big springs
These are a few of my favourite things

Climbing big cliffs and walking on logs
Having a sniff and chasing fast dogs
Chewing on bones with marrow that clings
These are a few of my favourite things

Chasing red dots and chasing a hose
Digging through stuff and using my nose
Anything meat that had fins, hooves or wings
These are a few of my favourite things

When the people leave
When I'm left alone
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favourite things
And then I don't feel so bad

(But I feel even better if I have one of my favourite things with me, like a bone... bone please...)

Raven Wednesdays

The past few days Nature has made rain. Last night she made a very large wind.

Not very many exciting things have been happening, until today. Today Raven came and took me away to play. We got very muddy.

I love Raven more than anything else in the world. When she leaves my heart feels sad. But the good thing is that I see her more often now. It turns out that Wednesdays are Raven days. Can every day be Wednesday?

Hot little person and Raven surprise

The past few days have been different. My littlest person has been sick. She feels hot when I poke her with my nose. And she spends most of her time in bed.

Yesterday I stayed at home to watch over her with Momma C. I know this was an important job for us, but it was also very boring. The best part was when Momma B came home. She put me in the car and we drove to a field with other dogs. The other dogs were all too big for me, but I got to run by myself and sniff lots of new things.

After that we drove to another place. Momma B took me inside a building. My nose told me that she spends a lot of time in this building. I found the place where she sits. And then after that I found places where lots of other people sit too. It was dark and we were the only ones there. I found some crumbs to lick, and many interesting people smells.

This morning my littlest person is still hot under my nose. She sleeps a lot. Today Momma B is at home watching over her. I have been poking my nose on Momma B - aren't we going to do anything fun today? After all, the littlest person is just in bed. Can't we leave her there and go out to play?

But wait a minute. Who is that coming in our gate. I had better go bark!

Wait! I know those people! I like those people very much! Come Pet me Greet me Play with me! Yay!

And even better! They now bring Raven! Hi Raven! Hi hi hi hi hi hi hi!

I play with Raven. She chases a ball outside my house. I chase Raven. This is great!! I am so happy to see Raven!

Raven and her people are going now. They have my crate-den with them. I am going with them. Bye!

People, sticks with fire, a dog named Blanche, a box, and a surprise visit from Raven

We had two days that were full of people. All of these people seemed to be interested in my littlest person, and not very many of them were interested in me. There were lots of little sticks with fire at the end, and many boxes wrapped in paper. There were no boxes wrapped in paper for me. Only for my littlest person. I had to sit on my mat on the floor and no one paid attention to me.

A few good things happened though. First I went for a walk with my person and I met a dog named Blanche. Blanche is border collie and she let me run after her. Her person and my person walked and talked for a long time while I ran with Blanche.

The other night my person asked me to stand on a box. Sometimes it was hard to know what she wanted me to do, but when I figured it out she made a click noise and I got yummy food. I like that game.

And the best thing of all is that yesterday I was at work with Momma C when suddenly Raven was there! And her people! They took me into their big car, which is called a van, and we all went to play together. Then they took me back to Momma C. This was fun, but a bit confusing. Why did they go away again so soon? I put myself under Momma C's chair so that she wouldn't disappear too.

I was very happy to see Raven.

Things feel like they are getting back to normal. This is good. Although I would like to see Raven and her people again soon.

Finding Raven

Today was a good day.

This morning my person played with jars again. And pears this time. People are strange. So I went outside and played on my own. I sniffed the whole yard. Then I slept in the sun.

After my long nap we got in the car. Then my person said these words: Walk, Beach, Raven.

These are all happy words. I looked out the window and my person was right! There was the beach, and there was Raven! Raven was playing in a field with another dog friend. I raced out of the car and ran to Raven. We played.

Raven fetches. Raven swims. Raven swims to fetch. This pleased my person very much.

I do not fetch. I do not swim. I definitely do not swim to fetch. But I chase. This pleases me very much.

Raven doesn't mind me chasing. Sometimes we run and play together, even without chasing or fetching. Raven is fast, just like me, because she is my sister. We ran very far. But we didn't want our people to get lost, so we went back.

It was very windy at the beach today. The weather is changing. My nose can smell fall in the air. My person was cold. I think Raven's people were cold too. But not me. I was hot from running with Raven.

One confusing thing happened. After we played, we found Raven's van. The people opened the door, and I went to hop in. But they said "no". Raven hopped in. But I wasn't allowed. I was very confused. Why couldn't I go with Raven?

Then my person took me to our car, and I remembered, and I realized that I was staying with my person. That's okay too. I hope I see Raven again soon.

I was very happy to see Raven today. And her people. And to play on the beach.

Today was a good day. Now I sleep.

Chasing Raven

Raven, my favourite sister. Familiar smell, puppies together, dog of my soul.

She runs, she picks up the ball, she returns. This is called fetching. This pleases my people.
I chase. This pleases me.
Oh boy oh boy oh boy.
