Happy Halloween! (by Ojo)

It is Halloween!

Here is what I know about Halloween:

One: The people put funny things on our bodies. These are called "costumes". They are also called "uncomfortable".

Two: They make scary faces out of squash.

Three: If we do Tricks we get Treats! But did I mention they make us wear funny things while we're doing it?

The good news is that it is almost BONE time!

Soon small people will come to our door. They will be dressed in funny things. They will ask for tricks-or-treats, or something like that. All these small people in funny clothing would require much bark-bark-barking!

Cobi will Bark because she is scared. I will Bark because I love kids!!

But the people don't want bark-bark-barking, so they will put us in the very back of the house, and we will get BONES! This makes up for everything else silly about this day. I can't wait for BONE time!

Oh no. Oh dear. It is that time again.

The time when witches pop out of the forest!
The time when skeletons appear in the dark!
The time when ghouls creep around the corner!

Oh no. Oh dear.

Halloween is fully of scary things. I will need to BARK BARK BARK all day and all night just to stay safe!

Oh no. Oh dear.

I hate Halloween.

Practising my Tricks for Treats! (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

Halloween is coming! I hear that on Halloween everyone gets to do Tricks-for-Treats!
I like the sound of this! Count me in! Yes please!

But first I need to practise, so that my Tricks will be awesome and will get lots of good Treats!

Right paw up in the air! (Nailed it!)

Left paw up in the air! (Got that one too!)

Both paws up in the air! (I am totally amazing!)

Ha hah! Take that, Halloween monsters! I will fight you off, and steal all your candy too! My tricks are the best ever!

Here is what Cobi did while I practised my Tricks.
She calls this "supervising". I call it "lazy".

Oh, and did you notice that I am wearing a Super Dog costume too?  I think I should get lots of Treats for sure!

Sigh. Happy Halloween, friends. Are you getting good treats for your tricks?

I hate Halloween!

Tomorrow is Halloween. I HATE Halloween! It is full of witches and monsters and scary things! Little people knocking on our door all night and startling me out of a good nap! Fire crackers going Bang outside!

I hate Halloween! It is very scary and upsetting! I am just going to hide behind my person.

Is it over yet???

Is Halloween for Black Dogs?

Ojo here! I hear Halloween is for Black Cats. What about Black Dogs?

I'm not sure why Cobi thinks this day is so scary. I can do tricks for treats! But that caramel stuff sure sticks in my mouth... I'll take some chicken instead, please!

The thing called Halloween is coming!

I do not like the thing called Halloween. First of all there are many things that look like this:

This is all VERY SCARY! I need to do Big Barks to keep them away!

And then there are all the monsters that come to our door! They knock and bang, and yet still my people feed them from a big bowl of treats. Why is this? I do Big Barks to keep the monsters away, but I do not get treats! BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK!

Oh I wish Halloween would just not come this year...

Wordless Wednesday 10/31/12

Hello cute little thing-called-squash. What are you doing down there all alone? Do you need someone to play with?

Here comes stealthy-ghost-dog. Whoooo....

Are you having fun yet, little squash? You are almost Ball, but not quite. You're not dizzy are you?

What's this thing? Why does Big Squash have holes in its head?

And now there are two of them. You know, these things are kind of creepy...

Vegetable faces

This morning we saw many of these funny vegetable faces on the road. I wonder what this is about?

Inside the forest it was very dark today.

After the forest, Momma B gave me a bone and left me alone on the landing. I didn't mind. It was nice to chew my bone and be quiet and restful. When she got back she smelled like other dogs, but again I didn't mind because my bone smells the best of all!

That Halloween thing

I don't understand this Halloween thing that just happened. I can look fancy too - see? And I do tricks for treats all the time. What's the big deal?

A scary thing and a quiet beach day

This morning when we dropped my littlest person off at the place she calls "school", something that was shaped a little bit like this was standing out front.

I do not know what this was, but something wasn't right about it. I growled low in my throat to warn my people and to keep this scary thing away from me.

I was very glad when my person drove our car away and it wasn't near me any more. I was even more glad when the car stopped again and we were at the beach. It must be Friday!

I have itchy spots on my back. Both Vet and my people checked and they tell me that it is not fleas or lice. This is good. But it still itches.

 

The beach was very quiet and peaceful today. I love beach Fridays.
