Crate is great?

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

Cyrus really seems to like his crate-dens. Since Nature is making rain today, I thought I would try them. I tried the one in the office, and I tried the one in the bedroom, but I don't know what the big deal is. They seem kind of boring to me...

Do you like crate-dens, friends?

Pee Ess I used to sleep in a crate-den all the time. But now I sleep on the Bed in the spare room. I have earned this privilege because I am old, friends. But also because I behave very nicely at night!

Crate (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here.

I am in my crate.

A few minutes ago I was out there, with my person, doing fun stuff. Now I am in my crate watching other Dogs do fun stuff.

What do you mean, we need to take turns? When is it my turn again?

Oh Soft-Crate-Den, How Do I Love Thee? (by Ojo)

Oh Soft Crate Den, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways!

I love the treats that fall when I run inside your mesh door!
I love the treats that fall when I stay inside you, lying down on your black mat!
I love the treats that fall when I don't come out, even when exciting things are happening around us!

I hear that we are going to go to class together. I hear that I will need to stay inside you, safe and sound, while I wait for my turn to come out to work. I hear that you will be my travelling companion, and that we will do many fun things together.

I hope the treats keep falling! Because I am falling in love with you, oh Soft Crate Den! This is a wonderful place to be!

Crate-den for the cat named Keisha

The cat named Keisha likes her crate-den.

Even though her crate-den sometimes takes her to terrible-horrible-no-good-very-bad-place-called-vet, most of the time it is a safe, happy place. I even do Leave It without being asked when she is in her crate-den. I am a Good Dog.

Good day, bad day, good day

Today was a good day, then a bad day, and then a good day again.

First thing, as soon as the door to my crate-den was opened, I went outside with Momma B. The sun was coming up and there was lots of fresh snow.

We climbed and explored new places.

Then the people got out something yummy smelling. I went into my crate-den so they would give it to me. They did. But then they shut the door. They left. They forgot me.

I made some noises so they would remember me and come back. But they didn't. This was very sad.

I waited.

A very long time later they came back.

And the day got better again. I went outside to play with Momma B and my littlest person. This was much fun.

What is my littlest person doing?

In the evening I was very tired. I had a misunderstanding with my littlest person. We both felt sad.

Momma B talked to us for a long time. Then my littlest person got out some treats. Now we are friends again.

A place with very much snow

This morning the people were very busy making piles of food and other things. There was a pile for me too. I sat on my pile so that it wouldn’t go anywhere without me.

All of the piles went in the truck. Then I went in the truck too. We drove for a long time. I don’t like being in the truck for a long time. It is very boring.

But when we stopped we were somewhere amazing. I have never seen so much snow in my entire life!

We played in the snow. Then I went for a long walk with Momma B. Then we rested. Then I chased snow balls again. Now I rest more. Today was amazing!

No den?

My crate-den seems to have disappeared. First the cat named Keisha was in it. She didn't want to be in there, but the people made her stay in there because she was not feeling well. Then my crate-den disappeared. Where did it go? At least I still have my mat. And Puffie of course.

On beds and missing things that have come back

Tonight the littlest of my people came back! She had been missing since we forgot her by the river many days ago. I am glad we found her.

Also, Mr. Squeak came back.

Three cats live in this house. They all like to share my crate-den and my favourite bed. That's okay - I am good at sharing. Tonight we were upstairs. The floor was hard and cold, and my favourite bed is downstairs. But the bed belonging to the cat named Jericho is upstairs. So I thought I would share it.

Only it's not very comfy.

Sharing my den

Hello there, what are you doing in my den?

That's okay, I can share.
