On top of the world... again!

Sometimes we climb with our person to the Top of the World. This is the most amazing place, high above the oceans and the trees, the streets and the people.

Mount Doug in Spring means rain, sun and wind

Today Car took us to Mount Doug. Nature was making Spring. There was sunshine and rain, and lots of wind, and then more sunshine, and then more rain.

We did my favourite Walk, which starts with forest and mud and trees and bushes, then goes into rocks to climb (I love climbing!), and then the area that my person calls GarryOakEcosystem, which has lots of grass and moss and flowers. And trees named Garry Oak.

My person made me do the thing called "posing", but she had water and lamb-treat for me so I didn't mind.

Nature makes warm so we do hike

Today Nature is making Warm, so the people decided to visit the place called Mount Doug. My littlest person came, and whenever she comes we go UP instead of around. I like this. Climbing is one of my favourite things. I like going up best.

When the people finally settled, we did Picnic.

This is called a strawberry. It was sweet.

The people also shared tuna-sandwich and cheese.

After Picnic we played games like chase and hide-and-seek. Then we rested in the sun.

Momma B usually carries the big black eye, but today my littlest person took it and pointed it at both of us. Here are photos of me and Momma B together, enjoying the warm sun on our fur.

We all had much fun together today!

Yellow flowers

Nature has decided that it is Spring. The grass is growing, the earth is damp and full of smells, and these yellow flowers are everywhere. My eyes see the colour yellow very well.

I am happy to be in the cool grass on a nice Spring day, watching the world go by.

Nature made much snow!

Even better than the snow, all my people are at home today! And me too! I got to play in the snow.

Yard

My people are spending a lot of time in the yard. Momma C is helping Nature to grow all sorts of plants.

I lie in the sun and watch. I like the feel of sun on my fur. I also like being outside where I can sniff the breeze with my people close by.

The cats like Nature's sun and fresh air too. The cat named Jack likes to come outside to eat the plants. This makes him very happy, but it makes my littlest person very sad.

Our yard has many little birds. The cat named Jericho likes to watch the birds. She tells me that they're tasty to eat, but I'm not sure I believe her. The best food comes home in bags from the place called "grocery store". I don't think it's still alive and covered in feathers. Yuck.

Sitting in the daisies

The truth is that I am feeling better, but not entirely my normal me yet.

Today Momma B said it felt she was walking a "senior dog". I don't know what that means, but I did spend a lot of our walk trailing behind her. Usually I run back and forth and up and down and in and out and all over.

I was just a little tired, that's all. I didn't have energy for "zoomies". My body is still healing.

I did have fun though. And I did do lots of running when there were other dogs to play with!

Did you notice the sky in those pictures? Nature was making very funny air. It was sunny and stormy at the same time.

This is Mylie. She spent time with the people called Victoria Adoptables when she was a puppy with her mom-dog too. I'm not entirely sure what that means apart from the fact that our people like to talk to each other. Mylie and I prefer to play. I'm not that big on talking.

In some places the grass was very high. It had a bit of damp on it so the smells were very fresh for my nose.

After all that running and playing and sniffing, my person sat down with me in the daisies for a while. She did something called "people watching". I did "dog watching".

Today was a fun day.

Rain and growly skies

Yesterday was Sniffing Day. Momma B got very wet.

Today we were supposed to go for a long walk but Nature was making lots and lots of rain again. We went for a very short walk.

Something strange happened on our walk. I was playing when suddenly the sky growled at me very loudly. I hid by my people.

A few minutes later I had to poo. I found a good spot and was about to start but the sky growled at me again. So I went and hid by my people. I never got to poo.

Why did the sky growl at me?

I will stay inside with my bone, away from the angry sky.

End of winter?

Yesterday it was winter. Today it is not winter. The air is warm. The sun feels warm on my fur. And this is all that's left of the snow.

Is winter over? Or is Nature having a break?

Big wind

There is a big wind outside. And rain. We walked, then I ran in the park in the dark in the rain and the wind. Nature is very powerful tonight.

Guinnie who swims

When today started, the sky was raining very hard. After I got out of my crate-den, I went outside and I stood on the deck. I needed to pee, but the rain was too strong. I did not want to go out in that rain. I told my person this with a whine noise, so she got something called an umbrella. This umbrella was a bit scary when it first flapped open like a very large bat, but my person held it up towards the sky and it stopped the rain for us. So finally I could pee.

After we went back inside the sky started growling. I think Nature had some strong feelings this morning.

Later, Nature changed her mind and it got very sunny and warm.
So we went to visit the puppy named Guinnie.

She is larger than the last time I met her. She is still smaller than me, but her paws are very big.

She was fun to play with, as long as she remembered to listen to me. I didn't like it when she put those big paws on my head. I also really didn't like it when my person gave her lamb. But then I got lamb too, so I guess it was okay.

She was actually quite polite for a puppy. We had fun doing little chases in her yard.

After a while we went for a visit to the beach. Guinnie likes to run. And she is learning to fetch. This is good. I like dog friends who fetch. They please my people, because my people like to see fetch. They also please me because I like to chase.

I do not fetch.

Guinnie also decided today to learn how to swim. This pleased her people very much. Since she is a puppy, I was pleased too. I am sure I am a good influence on her. Even though I do not swim.

After the beach-run-fetch-swim time, we went back to the place where Guinnie lives. I played a fun game with my littlest person.

Then Gunnie had to go for a sleep. Puppies like to sleep even more than me.

This was all fun. I would like to see Guinnie again, and her people too.
