Summer is getting older

Hi friends, Ojo here! Summer is getting older. The sun is not as high in the sky. The light is more golden. The wasps are getting grumpy. And the maple and arbutus trees are turning their leaves yellow and dropping them to the ground.

I had a Very Happy Walk today in the leaves and golden light. (I don't like wasps, though.)

I like to lie in the tall cool grass. The daisies are a bonus!

My person asked me to do the thing called "strike a pose" in the daisies. This is where I hold still while she points big-black-eye at me, and then gives me cheese.

This is my serious face. Because posing for cheese is serious business, you know.

Last days of summer

Dear friends,

We have had a very busy summer. Our summer has included Walks in the HOT, chasing flies, sleeping in the sun, refusing to go into our crate-dens at night because of the HOT, rolling in the nice scratchy grass, and eating many berries and a very little bit of ice cream.

What has your summer had in it?

At night, Nature is starting to make cool breezes again. But in the day, it is still HOT!

We are enjoying our last few weeks of summer.

What are YOU up to?

Uplands Park is back!

We went to Uplands Park!

We have not been to this park forever and ever. This is because the birds were making babies, and apparently Some Dogs are very disruptive to this.

Not me. I am a Good Dog! But Ojo? She would be very disruptive. She is very bad, you know. She bounces through the bushes. She chases the birds. (And the bunnies, too.) So it is her fault that we have not been to this park forever and ever, I am sure of it!

Last time we were here everything was green and very wet. Now it is all brown and dry!

Also, Momma C came too! I love Momma C.

Hurray for Uplands Park! Can we visit again soon??

Warm sun and cool wind

We had a perfect Walk. There was warm sun and cool wind, and many things to sniff, and things to climb on too!

We have been busy sniffing and not doing our blog, and we are having a Very Good Summer. Especially because Summer has been making cool wind, and not too much Hot this year!

We hope you have some warm sun and cool winds too! And also many good things to sniff!

I must say that we both enjoyed Daisy's company very much today. She was very polite, and a good part of our pack... Plus she was FUN!

The Big Beach: Part 2: The CRAB! (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

This is Part Two of our Very Big Beach story! This part of the story is about a crab!

There were many, many crabs at this Beach! (And also little fishes, and sand dollars, and things deep in holes that squired us with water that the people named "clams".)

But THIS creature, THIS crab, wanted to make friends! See how he is waving at us!

He was very interesting. We sniffed him. We tried to play with him.

But he played really rough! His toes kept pinching our noses!

So we went to play with someone else instead.

Pee Ess I wanted to eat him, but the people said "no". That is sad, isn't it?
