I did a Bad by accident! (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here. I did a Bad! It was by accident!

These packages were under the tree. I knew they were for us! Why should we have to wait? I wanted to open them NOW! And so I did! Is this very, very Bad?

So what if one said "To Cobi" on it? Cobi doesn't like unwrapping anyways! I was just helping her!

Is this very, very Bad?

Okay, so then I may have gone back to under the tree and started to open one that wasn't even a Dog toy. It was something for one of our people. But can you blame me? Unwrapping is so much fun!

Is this very, very Bad? And why are all the presents now up where I cannot reach them???

Photo wrecker

Ojo is Bad. She is a photo-wrecker.

Look how nicely I am posing! Look at the beautiful smile I am making for the camera!

Now look at Ojo's face. She is a photo-wrecker.

She is very bad. I do not think she should get any cheese. Why must we sit beside each other?

Was that naughty? (by Ojo)

Was that a Naughty thing I did?

Is Santa not going to come for me any more?

What about this? I was only trying to help!

Oh Santa, I promise to be Good from now on, if only you will still come for me! I love you, Santa! Please bring me a bone! And a toy! And a couch of my own!

I have to be GOOD??? (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

Something terrible! Christmas is coming!

No, wait, that's not the terrible part. Christmas is happy and means things like family and turkey!

The terrible part is that now need to be Good! If I am not Good, Santa will not come leave me a bone or toys or treats! And I want a bone and toys and treats!

But being Good is so very hard!!

(What the heck are these glowing things, by the way??)

My littlest person took these photos. So she is being Good. (Aren't they pawesome? She is a great photographer!)

But I'm having a much harder time being Good!

Help me out, friends. Here is my list from today:

  • I sat on top of the mountain in the cold while our person pointed her Big Black Eye at us over and over and over again. I was very patient. Pretty Good, right?
  • I wanted to go out the door but Cobi was in the way so I pushed under her body and then she fell into the water. Oops, not so Good. (And Cobi has already told Santa I am sure!)
  • I went straight from the car to the back gate without stopping to chase squirrels. This is Good!
  • I chased Jack the Cat and jumped on his head. Not Good.
  • I waited for my breakfast until the people said "Okay!". Good.
  • I drooled all over the floor while waiting. Not Good.
What can I do? How can I be better? How are you Good so that Santa will come??

Ojo's Homework Mischief

Ojo made another Mischief!

Ojo ate our littlest person's homework. It was a project our person had worked very hard on. This made our littlest person feel very sad. She was worried that the person called Teacher was going to be angry. So our littlest person helped Ojo make a sign to apologize.

Then Ojo ate the sign.

I think Ojo is a Very Bad Dog! (By contrast, I am a Very Good Dog. Should I not get extra treats since I am so much more Good?)

Ojo would not even share her paper with me. Why does she get all the good stuff? Sigh.

Ojo making mischief

Excuse me, people! Look over here! Ojo is doing a mischief!

Do you see what she has stolen? Do you see what she is chewing upon? Do you see the mess is she is making?

Look over here! Look at this! She is a Bad Dog! Look at this major mischief!

Excuse me... Why are you not listening...

Sigh.

...

Pssst, Ojo. What have you got there? That looks like fun. Would you share with me? Maybe I could play at making mischief too??

BAD! (by Ojo)

Santa has come and gone, and you know what that means, right? I can be BAD again!

This morning I begged at the table. I stole some Christmas presents. I stole Cobi's chewie (but the people made me give it back). I slept on the people-bed.

And this is the best part! Have you ever met Snow Man? Snow Man has a carrot for his nose. I have found many of these Snow Mans. And I am very sneaky - I have stolen the Snow Man nose!

This Snow Man does not have a carrot nose. That is no good. I will just chew on his arm instead.

But that Snow Man - he had a carrot nose! I have scored many carrot noses so far! My person keeps taking them back, but if I chew really fast I can eat most of it before she gets to me!

Oh I am so happy that I can be Bad again! Hurray!

Dear Santa (from Ojo)

Dear Santa,

Ojo here! Cobi has been telling me all about this thing called "Christmas". She says that it is amazing, and that I will get yummy food and toys and all sorts of good things... BUT this only happens if I can convince you and your friend Rudolph that I have been a Good Dog this year.

So here it goes.

Santa, I have to tell you that my year started off pretty tough. I had a family but I lost them. I don't think they wanted me any more. They didn't say why, just they were there and then they were not. I lived on the streets and was called "stray". I had to steal my food in order to survive. Does this make me Bad? I hope not.

Then I got picked up by some people and put in the place called "pound". I lived there for what felt like a very long time. I got to go outside only sometimes, and didn't get much exercise. This was very hard for me. I love the outside so very much, Santa! Does me barking and whining in the pound make me Bad? I hope not.

A pawesome group of people called "Dog Bless Rescue" saw me. I tried to look cute and pretty (and like a Good Dog), and it must have worked because I was taken out of the pound. I had something happen that hurt lots called "spaying". I had shots and stuff put on my skin. Then I was stuck in a tiny box and put on a noisy thing called airplane.

When I got off the air smelled different, and everything was all new.

Like I said Santa, my year started off pretty tough.

But things got better from there. My foster home was pretty nice, and then - my people found me!

So here's the deal.

Santa, I did not know I wasn't supposed to eat the Cat Food. I only jump on people sometimes, when I'm really excited. I thought the Recycling was a bin of toys for me to play with. (That's an honest mistake!)

I chew on shoes and water bottles and the stairs only when I get really, really bored. Can you blame me? I mostly only forget to listen to my people when there is a squirrel or rabbit or bird nearby.

I did not know that the magnets on the fridge are not for chewing on. Or the coasters. Or my littlest person's soccer cleats.

I did not know that the couch is not for sleeping on. (It's so comfy, Santa!) I did not know that I was not supposed to bury a bone outside, then dig it up a week later and bring it back into the house. I did not know that the stuffed toy named Puffie belongs to Cobi. (Cobi, I am sorry I took some of the insides out of your favourite toy. I feel very bad about this.)

But I am trying very hard to be a Good Dog. Here is how I am Good:

  • I Sit and Lie Down and go to my bed when the people ask me. (Most of the time.)
  • I do not chase the Cats.
  • I play the game called "training". (I can go around trees and weave my person's legs and bow and shake paws and all sorts of pawesome things!)
  • After my Walk I curl up into a little ball and go to sleep so my person can work.
  • I am very gentle with little people.
  • I let Cobi think she is the boss.
  • I sat still while the people put a silly hat on my head and pointed their big, black eye named "camera" at me. (See my pawesome picture below!)
  • I give my people licks and wags every single day.

So clearly I am a Good Dog.

For Christmas I would like the following things:

  • Snow
  • A couch that I am allowed to lie on
  • Anything squeaky, chewy or smelly
  • To keep my new family forever and ever

Licks and wags,
Ojo

Not really "bad dog"

Momma C went to "meeting". She put me in my bed. She told me "stay".

But the sun was so warm... Rudolph, do you really blame me? Am I truly "bad dog"?

White world

This morning when I woke up the world looked like this.

My littlest person was very sad. She wanted to play in the snow, but she had to go to the place she calls "school". I felt the same. I did not want to get in the truck. I wanted to stay and play.

I like to sniff under the snow and dig with my paws. And I like this game.

But we only got to play for a little while before my people made me go in the truck. I was in the truck a lot today.

I am trying to be a Good Dog, really I am. But I also really wanted to play in the wonderful snow. In the middle of the day when Momma C took me back to the place where she does the thing called "work", I decided to go to the park instead. Momma C was not happy with this. I guess I am a Bad Dog again.

Why can't I just play in the snow?

No magic dot?

In the middle of the night I woke up. I wondered if the magic dot was outside waiting to play with me. I made whine noises. My people woke up and Momma C let me out of the crate and into the back yard in case I "had to go". I searched. No dot. She put me back in my crate. So I made more whine noises.

Momma B took me outside again. She worried that maybe my tummy felt funny. This time I searched for a very long time. I still couldn't see the dot, but if the dot is truly magic, it could appear any time.

Momma B asked me to do Come. I did. I got treats. Then she tried to put me back into my crate. I didn't want to go back into my crate. She picked me up and put me in my crate. I made more whine noises. I wanted to look for the dot! Where is the magic dot?

Loss of privileges

Today Momma B put me in the truck again and asked me to wait. Momma C got home first, but I had to stay in the truck until Momma B got back.

What does Loss of Privileges mean?

Dog in trouble

Yesterday I got in trouble.

The first time I was in trouble I was at the beach with Momma C. She put me on my leash and took me down to the sand, and we started walking on the sand for a long ways. But Momma B wasn't there yet. Momma B is my person. I like to be near Momma B, always. So I turned around and went to find Momma B. When Momma C caught up with me she tied me to a post to wait there for Momma B. I'm not sure why she was so mad; very soon Momma B came and found me by the post. And she came from the direction I was heading. See, I knew where I was going!

The second time I was in trouble was almost the same thing. Momma B asked me to wait for her in the truck, and then walked away. I don't like it when she does this. I worry she may get lost, so I watch very carefully where she goes until she comes back. This time Momma C came back first, so I didn't want to get out of the truck because I was watching for Momma B. But Momma C made me get out.

So I went off to find Momma B. I knew what direction Momma B went, but when I got through the bushes and past the fence, she wasn't there. I got confused. Momma C caught me and she was mad. I rolled on my back to show her that I didn't mean to make her mad. I was just looking for Momma B.

I don't know why Momma B sometimes leaves me. Why can't I go beside her all the time?
