Pepper came on our Snow Walk!

Guess what? Pepper came on our Snow Walk today! 

He loves Snow too!

Pepper played with other Dogs while I waited with my person. He can zoom faster than I can these days, but we still a Very Good Walk sniffing and exploring and making yellow Snow!

Walks - Top of the World, and Pepper!

Today I had a success! I climbed to the Top of the World!

It has been a few months since I have been up here. And I haven't done blogging recently, either. I have been working on healing, and getting stronger again, and Walking longer again. 

I don't think I will ever Walk forever-and-ever like I used to, but this was a good week! I did more things! I even had a few little-happy-zooms!

And then today I climbed to the Top of the World!

(Okay, so this Top of the World is the place called Mill Hill, which is just a hill. But still, it was a good climb! And still, I could smell all over from up here!)

Also, Pepper has started coming with us on some Walks again! 

This has been a good week for me, friends! How was your week?

Fall pawtraits, summer weather, and a Walk!

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

Pepper joined us for our Walk today! Half way through, we stopped and posed so my person could do a Fall Pawtrait of us! (And yes, after we said "cheese" we then got cheese!)

My body feels tired and there is some pain in my knees. But I was still very happy to be out on this Walk today. My person stops and waits, and we take our time. (Unless I see a bunny, then I will zoom!)

Pepper zooms most of the time, unless he stops to sniff something with me.

Even though the trees are starting to drop their leaves, Nature is still making Hot! The sun is orange again because there is smoke high in the sky, but even my nose can't smell it down here in the forest.

I think Pepper looks very handsome in this picture, but don't tell him I said so.

My person says I am just as beautiful as I was when I was young. Or maybe even more beautiful. Is this true, friends?

Pepper stayed over!

Pepper came to stay with us for the weekend! I don't mind this. There are more treats when Pepper is here, and also he shared his bully sticks with me!

At first he was a bit anxious and had a hard time settling. (And he may have chewed a hole in my Bed, but that's okay, his person fixed it.) 

After a bit of time, and some Good Walks, he got much more comfortable.

It always takes him a bit of time to get comfortable when he comes to stay over. Maybe this means he needs to come to stay more often?

Now he has gone home again, and I am resting. It is a lot of work to take good care of a house guest!

Pepper and I get to go on Walks together again!

This has been fun! We have sniffed things together! We have done some zooms together! We have chased a squirrel together! We have gone into the Lake together! We have bounded through the forest together!

Mostly, it's just been very nice to be out Walking with my friend again.

And yes, Nature has made some Rain.

Spring pawtrait time

On our Walk today we found these yellow flower things! My person decided it was time to do some pawtraits of US!

These were on a Big Hill in a Big Field. Big Field on Big Hill has many little critter holes in it! They smelled so interesting! All the spring air smelled so interesting today!

Okay, I must admit to you that my leg is still a little sore. I will confess that I walked into the yellow flower things and then I lay down to rest. My person thought this was a good chance to do some good pictures.

Since pictures mean cheese, Pepper joined me for picture time! We don't just say cheese, we eat cheese! More cheese, please!

Good Walks

Hi hi hi! Ojo here! 

My person takes ME on Many Good Walks. Often Pepper gets to come too! Pepper says that he likes our Walks!

Right now my Walks are too short. I wish they were longer, but my leg still hurts and my person says I need to rest. (I don't want to rest on Walks! I want more Walks!)

My leg is getting a bit better. I hope my leg gets all the way better soon so I can do proper Walks again!

Pepper has been very nice to ME while my leg has been sore. He Walks beside ME and keeps ME company, and we do lots of sniffing together. 

This Walk is almost done. Pepper wants to know if we can do another Walk soon? (I want to know if we can do another Walk soon?)

And then BREAD fell from the sky!

Yesterday I had a fall. I went on two Walks and I had Too Much Fun. At the end of Second Walk I tried to jump into the back of Car. But I fell.

Today my leg is hurting.

My person still took us on a Walk today. She went slow, and then faster when I went faster, and then slow again.

And then...

BREAD fell from the SKY!!! Can you imagine?!?

First a big piece! And then another big piece! Then two smaller pieces! And then even more! 

It was focaccia bread and it was very tasty! One piece almost fell on my head!

When we looked up, there was a Big Raven eating bread in the tree. Wasn't that nice of the Big Raven to share with us?

My leg didn't hurt as much after that. I think the falling bread must have helped.

Another day, another Walk!

Today was Beach Day!!! We haven't had Beach Day in a long time! 

Pepper and I zoomed and sniffed and frolicked! 

Pepper lay down in the water! Then he rolled in the sand! I ate a Dead Thing!

We even had a teeny, tiny bit of sunshine! This felt nice on our fur!

Today was a happy day!

COLD! And a little bit of Snow

Nature is making Big Cold! It was -15C here when I went outside for my morning pee. (That's 5F for my American friends!) And there was a Very Cold Wind!

This is Very Cold for where I live now. But those of you who have known me for a long time know that I lived in Little House on the Mountain for a while. There it was Very Cold and there was Very Much Snow for many months at a time. So this Cold is just fine for me.

The sad part is that there was only a teeny, tiny amount of Snow today. 

Despite the sadly small amount of Snow, Pepper came with us on Walk today.

I would have preferred more Snow and less Cold, thankyouvermuch. But Pepper doesn't care. He loves Snow - any Snow! (And also the Cheese my person was handing out for us Sitting nicely.)

Do you have Snow right now? If so, could you please send ME some? I would like more Snow, please!

New Years Resolutions

Hi hi hi, Ojo here! (Yes, I am still here!)

The humans say this is a New Year about to happen, whatever that means. Pepper and I celebrated by going on a Walk at one of our favourite places.

(Yes, Pepper has slobber on his face. It is from another Dog he met on the trail. It's not mine. I do not slobber.)

I haven't been online much. My paws are a bit arthritic these days, and I prefer using them to run and climb, not to push on the keyboard.

But life is Very Good! I get many Walks and snack and pets. I am happy.

To make things even happier, here are my New Years Resolutions:

1. Take more naps
2. Solicit more belly rubs
3. Eat more bacon
4. Gain another two pounds
