New Years Resolutions

Hi hi hi, Ojo here! (Yes, I am still here!)

The humans say this is a New Year about to happen, whatever that means. Pepper and I celebrated by going on a Walk at one of our favourite places.

(Yes, Pepper has slobber on his face. It is from another Dog he met on the trail. It's not mine. I do not slobber.)

I haven't been online much. My paws are a bit arthritic these days, and I prefer using them to run and climb, not to push on the keyboard.

But life is Very Good! I get many Walks and snack and pets. I am happy.

To make things even happier, here are my New Years Resolutions:

1. Take more naps
2. Solicit more belly rubs
3. Eat more bacon
4. Gain another two pounds

Hike with Pepper!

Hi hi hi! Ojo here! I went on a hike with Pepper! 

Hikes are more fun with Pepper. We zoom! We sniff! We explore! Today we chased a rabbit in the bushes! We splashed in the water We found a deer bone in the forest!

Do you have a friend you like to do things with?

Belly rub, please!

What do you mean, belly rubs don't happen outside? Of course they happen outside! They happen anywhere that I grant you access to my belly!

Yes I am still here. My person says she has been busy and that's why she hasn't helped my paws write a blog in many-million-months. I have missed you all!

I have been doing Walks and Hikes and Snacks and Naps and Long Sleeps and Belly Rubs.

Today Nature is making Very Big Wind. 

I do not like this. The only place I can be even a little bit safe is under my person's feet. Or between her legs. Or under the wheels of her office chair. Clearly nowhere else is safe. 

Please send bacon as it's the only thing that will help me now.

Sunday Selfie

Happy Sunday, friends! What are you up to today?

Pepper went camping!

Hi friends, Ojo here! Injustice!!! Unfairness!!!

While I was with my Grandpawrents, Pepper went Camping! And hiking! With my person! WITHOUT ME!!!

My person says this: "Ojo, you would have hated it. You would have had to hang out on a leash in the campsite for hours and hours. There were lots of noises. There was a very big wind. There were hours of riding in the back of the car, and the routines were all different."

Okay, fine, those things sound Not Fun. But still!

My person also says this: "Ojo, you got to spend days and days with with your human grandparents. They fed you snacks and gave you pets. You got multiple walks every single day. You got to sleep on a human bed every night. You were a very spoiled dog!"

Okay, fine, those things are also true. But still! Couldn't I have done just the fun parts Camping and still spend time with the Grandpawrents?

When Pepper and I saw each other after our separate adventures we were very happy to be back together again! We zoomed together! We sniffed together! 

While we were riding in Car on the way to Walk, Pepper told me that he went on a Very Big Hike to see a Very Big Waterfall! I would have liked that part!

Maybe I'll get to go next time? 

Okay, perhaps I would rather not go on the Camping part. I would rather stay with my Grandpawrents, thankyouverymuch. 

But perhaps we could do the Very Big Hike without having to do the rest of the Camping?

Gotcha Day Weekend

Hi friends, Ojo here! 

I spent most of my Gotcha Day weekend with my Grandpawrents! I went on Walks! I chased Sticks! I had many tasty snacks! The people sung "Happy Gotcha Day" to ME! I got ice cream!

This is ME at a place called Tower Point! It was a very happy weekend!

10th Gotcha Day!

Hi friends, Ojo here! 

Today is my 10th Gotcha Day! 

My people brought me home with them 10 years ago today! This is a Very Long Time!

I have gone from being mostly black to having lots of white in my fur. I have gone from being very spry and speedy to being mostly-spry-but-a-bit-stiff-and-can't-catch-bunnies-anymore. I have gone from young to very wise.

This was ME when my people first brought me home.

And this is ME now!

A lot has changed in my life. My family has changed. But I have had many people who have loved me very much over the years, and I have many people who love me very much now. 

Happy Gotcha Day to ME!

Top of the World

Hi friends, Ojo here! Just in case you were feeling sorry for me yesterday after my post about the thing called Old, I would like to share with you these pictures!

Pepper and I climbed to the Top of the World!

(Okay, yes, there are many Tops of the World. This one is newer to me. This was only the second time I climbed here!)

This is part way up. I could see and smell everything from up here! 

We climbed and climbed!

And climbed more!

This Old thing doesn't mean much! I can still climb! I can still explore! And I get to take longer naps after my Walk!

Also, Pepper found Poop! He did a Very Big Roll! 

Then he had to have Bath. 

I had to have Bath, too. Why did I have to have Bath? I didn't even get to do the Poop Roll!

The Top of the World is very beautiful, friends. I hope we get to go again soon!

Old

Hi friends, Ojo here!

It seems that I am turning into something called Old. 

Vet says that I have arthritis. This must be why I can't catch bunnies anymore. Vet also says that I have something called lenticular sclerosis. This must be why I Bark birds in the grass. (They look like monsters!)

I have to take new medicines for the arthritis. My person hopes this might make me zoomier again! Keep your paws crossed for me, friends!

In the meantime, know that I still do lots of Walks, and some zoomies, and I still like to chase and climb and roll and play! And I like naps. Naps are good!

Lake Day

Hi everyone! Ojo here, with my friend Pepper!

Nature is making Hot and Dry. So we went to Lake this morning!

What is Nature doing where you live? Do you ever get to go to Lake?

Hi friends, Ojo here!

This is Pepper!

Pepper doesn't live with us but he hangs out with us a lot, and he comes on Walks too!

I did not like Pepper very much at first. I did many grrrrs and snaps. 

But Pepper is very polite and he listened to me when when I said I needed space.

And he zooms with me! And I get extra cheese when he is around! And we go on Fun Adventures together!

And one day, Big-Rude-Adolescent-Dog climbed on my back and wouldn't get off. Pepper ran up to Big-Rude-Adolescent-Dog and yelled BARK! Then Pepper ran off, and Big-Rude-Adolescent-Dog ran off too! Pepper made Big-Rude-Adolescent-Dog go away. 

So I guess he's okay. I might like him. Maybe just a little bit. Or maybe a lot.

It took a long time, but now Pepper is my friend! 

Shhh, don't tell him that I said that. And don't tell him I think Walks are better when he's with us!

Okay, I guess I have to admit that it is nice to have a Dog Friend again. Hurray for my friend Pepper!

Update

Hi friends, Ojo here! 

Long time, no sniff! I blame my person for this. It is not my fault, it is clearly hers. Here are some updates on ME!

We moved! 

New House has the following Happy Things: A large sliding glass door for me to look outside! A sun puddle by the large sliding glass door! A deck for snoozing on! A small Yard with bushes to crawl under and critters to chase! Many Dog Beds! A Human Bed that I am allowed to lie on!

There is also a Couch that I am NOT allowed to lie on. I am working on this.

Nature seems to be making Summer! I like to sleep in the grass in the sunshine.

Did I mention that I like to sleep in the grass in the sunshine? (Why does my person keep taking pictures of me sleeping in the grass in the sunshine?)

I still get Walk every day! Sometimes two times a day! I also get to visit my human grandpawrents a lot! This means I get more Walks! And more Snacks! And more cuddles!

My life is happy!
