Yellow fall sunshine and an early morning Walk

This morning we went for a magical, early morning Walk.

Everything was yellow! And the sun was in our eyes.

But the air was still and calm.

The magic was in the smells of the night creatures, still fresh on the ground.
The magic was in the sparkle of sunlight in the drops of early morning dew.
The magic was in the shimmery spiderwebs and dancing grasses.

(And the magic was in this pile of deer poop. Look, I found deer poop!)

Soon the rain will start and we will not see sunshine for a very long time. For now, we closed our eyes and breathed in the magic of the early morning sun.

This is ME.
In the fall sunshine.
With a cold breeze.
Under the oak trees.
Among the tall grasses.
That hide the tasty bunny poops.

I think I am the most beautiful thing in the picture, don't you? Even better than the bunny poops tucked into the grass!

Fall is here

This part of Fall is very good. Nature is making sunshine, but also cool air and even colder breezes.

There has been rain, and the awful smoke from the wildfires has gone away. However everything is still dry enough for hanging out outside.

The air is ten to fifteen degrees colder than it was two weeks ago, and this is a relief for us with fur coats! (Our person, however, is now wearing multiple layers plus a jacket!)

I hope Fall decides to keep the weather like this for just a little while longer!

New friend Kimik! (by Ojo)

Today we met Dog-friend Kimik! Isn't he handsome?

We know Kimik's person! I was very happy to see her and did wiggle-bounce-greetings for her!

She used to come on walks with Dog-friend Moro. Dog-friend Moro's scent has faded, and now this person belongs to Kimik. (And do not worry, Moro is fine; he just moved to live in another place!)

Cobi thought Kimik smelled very handsome, and followed him around everywhere. They swapped many pees on bushes and trees!

I thought Kimik was fun for zooming with! There are no pictures of me zooming with Kimik because we were too busy running through the forest chasing bunnies! And then we were bouncing in the lake chasing ducks! And sometimes we were even just chasing each other!

This is the only picture we have of us together, from when we first met. I wasn't sure about Kimik yet, but pretty soon we were best friends! Notice that Cobi is already busy smelling. Did I mention she thought Kimik smelled very handsome? The German Shepherd was another Dog we met, but she did not come walking with us.

(I did have a little zoom with the shepherd though, just because I could!)

(But then the shepherd forgot to listen and jumped on Cobi, even though Cobi told her no thank you. And so Cobi had to tell her to go away. Cobi is very polite about this, just a few barks and then she turns away, but the people decided it was time to move on anyways.)

Here is Kimik zooming!  We had fun with our new friend, and I hope Kimik will come on Walk again with us sometime soon!

Kongs while Printer-Repair-Man was here

Printer-Repair-Man came the other day. So we got Kongs!

We haven't had Kongs for ever and ever. I don't know why. Clearly our person is stingy.

Our Kongs had something called whitefish-and-salmon-freeze-dried-raw in them. (This was AMAZING!) They also had a big chunk of lamb lung, which was a bit hard to get out, and at the very bottom was melted cheese!

The Kongs happened because this Printer-Repair-Man person came to the house. Usually when people come to the house we wait in the office because this is our safe place. But I guess Printer-
Repair-Man needed to go into the office. And I bark! bark! bark! when things like this happen...

So instead we got Kongs!

And friends, I must admit that I was a terrible watch-dog that day. I did not even bark once when Printer-Repair-Man came to the house because I was too busy with my Kong.

I got Red Kong. It took me thirty-five minutes to get everything out. Ojo got Black Kong, which is harder! It took forty-five minutes of working very hard for her to get it empty!

Perhaps we could invite Printer-Repair-Man over again sometime soon? I would very much like to repeat this Kong experience, please!

Last of the summer sunshine (by Ojo)

Today we had, perhaps, the last of the summer sunshine! In the forest it was cold, but out in the fields it was HOT!

The sun felt nice on my fur after the cold forest! And so I ran with a Stick! This felt sooooo happy!

What is Nature doing with the weather where you live?

Fall is starting!

It is getting cooler in the forest now. And look, the trees are starting to let go of their leaves!

We like the cooler Walks! It leaves much more energy for running!

Have you ever run too hard? Running is FUN! But sometimes I have too much fun, and I run and I run and I run... And then I am too tired!

Can we stop for a nap, and then finish Walk later?

What??? No! It is not because of my Little Fat that I am so tired! It is because I ran too hard! There is no Little Fat! I would still like a nap, please.

Beach day!!! (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

We live in the city. We are City Dogs. But it is very boring to walk in the city. So we hop into Car, and Car decides where to take us each day.

This morning, Car decided to go to Beach!

I am sure this was Car's decision, not our person's. When we come home from Beach, and even after we get the hose, we are still all sandy and we drop sand all over the house. Our person makes many grumbly noises about this. So I am sure she did not want to go to Beach. Clearly it was Car's decision! (Thank you, Car!)

It only takes ten minutes in Car to get to this Beach. Aren't we lucky??

Even luckier, our Balls came out to play!

This is Cobi. She is not fetching. She does not fetch, despite what it looks like in the photo.

I love fetching! I love my Ball! I love the Beach!

Cobi would like you throw it again please so that she can chase!

Today was the perfect day! I will go home now and have a nap, in a pile of sand that comes out of my fur, and I will dream about this perfect day at the Beach with my Ball. I am very happy!!!
