Shadows and frozen turkeys

The sun is going down earlier. The dark nights are longer. But the air is still warm, and the sun shines during the day.

Tonight my shadow was very long. I wonder why that is?

We went to UVic Dog Park. Then we picked up a large frozen icy cold... something. I think it smelled like... turkey? I wonder why we did this? And why did the frozen something-yummy disappear again when we got home? If you give it to me, I will help thaw it out!
