What a pretty lake. And so welcome on hot days, we are sure. Nature here is making it hot (well warm, anyway) and very dry. We never thought that in Scotland we would be worrying about a lack of rain but that's very much the case right now. Toodle-oo! Nobby (and Gail).
We have a big lake near us (one of the "Great" lakes), but there is no public place for us dogs to be allowed into it. That's okay since we don't think we'd like swimming and getting all wet. You sure look like you and Pepper are having fun.
What a beautiful lake, Ojo! We have lots of lakes around here in WNY, Lakes Erie and Ontario, plus all the Finger Lakes. None within walking distance, though. As for the weather lately, it's been way too dry and smoky. I think the worst of the smoke from the Canadian wild fires has cleared out now.

Nature is sad, and she is bringing us smoke. Our closest water is our large outside water bowl.

I've never been to the lake before but what a beautiful place to visit and cool off for you and Pepper, Ojo.
we are hot, muggy and no rain, still drought. we go to the park but not to lakes. glad you get to go and that you have a new friend to play with.
