Still snowy!

Oh how we love you, crisp winter days!

We put our noses into the breeze. There are so many things to smell!

When we get thirsty, we eat snow. (But not yellow snow.)

This is our friend Jo! She was visiting. Now she is gone again. We hope she comes again soon! It won't be the same walking in the snow without you, Jo!

More swimming! (Did you know that orange-has-hole-is-fun-fetch-toy, that I usually play with in the kitchen, also plays in the water?? Hurray!!)

Where did my people go?

My people are gone again.

My littlest person has been missing for so long that her smell is almost completely faded from our big-den-called-house.

And now my two bigger people are missing as well.

Where did they go? When will they be back? Why do my people leave me?

Will you come play with me?

Where do people go when they're missing?

Both Momma C and my littlest person are missing. Momma B is still here, but everyone else is gone. Their smells are fading from the big-den-called-house, almost as if they were never here.

Where do people go when they're "missing"?

Do they still exist? Are they out there somewhere else, leaving their scent for other dogs to sniff?

Or do they just disappear, and then reappear one day?

What fills the empty space when they go?

And most important of all, do they miss their dogs when they're gone?

Everybody and Their Dog Walk

Today we went to the Everybody and Their Dog Walk.
Everydog and Their People were there.

This was much better than previous times.

Last year Nature was making rain-wind-cold. I was mud-dog. There was even too much rain for me, and Momma B and I decided to leave as soon as we could.

Two years ago I had to go on the Walk without Momma B. This was very upsetting. I ran away from Momma C because it's no good when our family isn't together. I ran back a long long way to find Momma B. Momma C felt very worried when she thought I was lost, and then the people called me Bad Dog.

Three years ago Nature was making Hot. I went in a Tricks contest with Momma B and we won third place for me doing Weave between her legs. That was kind of fun, but then I ate the toy they gave me for being such a clever dog and then I was Bad Dog again. Also there was a very large brown furry thing called "mascot" that kept chasing me around. Mascot was very scary and I had to make big barks to defend myself.

This year was better. Nature was making wind-clouds-sun. It was not too cold for the people, not too hot for me. There was a spot just for us. Momma B asked me to do Down and I did and I stayed there beside her. She fed me food and I was Good Dog.

Then suddenly I found Momma C and my littlest person! This was very exciting because I thought we had left them at home.

We all went on a long walk together with many other people and dogs. My littlest person got tired, so Momma B and I went ahead to find her something to eat and to get back to our chair and our patch of grass.

When we got back I discovered all sorts of amazing things had happened while I was gone.

First of all, person-who-sometimes-stays-and-takes-me-on-fun-walks was there! She is very calm and gives me lots of yummy food and takes me to lots of fun places. I was very happy to see her and I did body-wiggle against her legs.

And then something even more amazing... Simon had appeared while I was gone!

We did run-chase-play until the people decided that we were going to knock over one of their funny things called "tents". Then Simon had to go back into his crate-den and I had to do Down beside Momma B. My littlest person came and sat with me.

I was mostly Good Dog after that, and so after a while Simon and I were allowed to go play together in the big empty space. This was so much fun!

This person is also named Trainer. Momma B asked her to do Pose for the Camera, so naturally I helped. I am good at doing Pose!

Now I am very, very tired. I think I will sleep until tomorrow. Or maybe just until Dinner...

On the park, play grounds, and daisies

Today I went to the park.

My littlest person was there. Calm-gentle-friend-of-my-littlest-person came too.

They went to "play ground". For some reason dogs are not allowed in "play ground". I'm not sure why... I like to play!

After a while they came out to play with me.

My littlest person made me pretty by putting a plant on my head. This plant was called "daisy".

Then I found this... Hello there, Stinky Ball!

The little people made it go fast for me.

I carried it back in my mouth. The people made happy noises and gave me a small piece of dry lamb. Then they made Stinky Ball go fast again.

We did this several times. But then I remembered something. I do not fetch. Oops.

After that, the people had to fetch their own ball.

Nature makes warm so we do hike

Today Nature is making Warm, so the people decided to visit the place called Mount Doug. My littlest person came, and whenever she comes we go UP instead of around. I like this. Climbing is one of my favourite things. I like going up best.

When the people finally settled, we did Picnic.

This is called a strawberry. It was sweet.

The people also shared tuna-sandwich and cheese.

After Picnic we played games like chase and hide-and-seek. Then we rested in the sun.

Momma B usually carries the big black eye, but today my littlest person took it and pointed it at both of us. Here are photos of me and Momma B together, enjoying the warm sun on our fur.

We all had much fun together today!

New park

My person found a new park for us. We've gone many times this week. I like it lots. Today we took my littlest person with us. She liked it too!

It is called "Uplands Park". There are birds and rabbits and squirrels, and dogs and people.

And my ball. My ball was there too. This is very important.
