The many good uses of snow

The people say that today is our last day here. Wait, what does that mean - last day?

Oh no!

Since it was my last day in the snow, I made the most of it. Here are some of the things that snow is good for:

Rolling in!

Eating!

Digging in!

Running and bouncing in!

And... playing in!

If snow is my favourite thing, playing in snow with my people is two of my favourite things. Does it get any better than that?

I must be dreaming - this has been the best week of my life! I hope we come back to the snow soon!

It's still snowing!!

Look at all our SNOW!!

In case anyone is wondering, we are visiting a place called "GrandmaAndGrandpas". There is snow everywhere outside, and inside is a warm thing called "wood stove". This place is wonderful.

My family loves this place too!

Santa came!!

Happy news everyone - it turns out that I was a Good enough Dog this year!

Last night seemed to go very slowly. My littlest person and I were very excited! But finally we both fell asleep...

I thought I might wake up when Santa and Rudolph landed on our house, but the snow must have helped them to be very quiet because I didn't hear anything. And then suddenly it was morning!

I know this one must be mine! Can I have it now please? Pretty please?

And look - this is what Santa and Rudolph left for me!

Yes, that is a whole bag of pop corn, just for me! My littlest person made it do the popping sound for me and then I got to eat a bowl full! Okay, it was just a little bowl, but still - it was amazing!

I also got a thing to chew on that the people kick for me like a Ball, some treats, and some chewing sticks that help with my teeth. They also taste good.

Now there is something yummy cooking in the kitchen, and more snow falling outside.

My littlest person helped me with all my goodies. This is the best Christmas ever!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Dear Santa - thank you

Dear Santa,

For Christmas this year I asked for a bone. But you do not need to bring me a bone, because I got something even better...

SNOW!!!!

So you don't need to come anymore, I already have everything I need.

Wait... my littlest person says that you still need to come. Okay, please come for her, but I do not need anything else. My Christmas is going to be perfect!

Licks,
Cobi

I wait

I wait.

Today was the shortest day of the year. Nature is making very long, very dark nights. But it's not all dark, because Nature has been making sun too.

And waiting isn't bad either. You see, I have a family of people that are very much fun.

Just this week alone I have been to Forest three times, to Beach twice, to Park to play soccer, and to Office for a party that involved lots of meat and cheese.

So waiting isn't so bad. In fact, it's been a lot of fun. I've smelled the breeze, squished mud under my paws, and felt the sun on my fur.

And what's that my ears hear?

What's that my nose smells?

Reindeer! They're getting ready! They are coming soon! Only four more sleeps, my people say!

And I will wait. I am a patient Dog. And I am a happy Dog.

I have a good feeling...

I think Santa is watching. I think maybe I have made his Good list.

Is he coming for you?

Perplexing

Friends, this Christmas thing has me a little perplexed.

Most of the year I am supposed to Bark at strangers I don't know who come to the house. But on Christmas I must not bark at Santa and Rudolph. Tell me, how can I be sure it's them? What if I make a mistake? And what if I eat Santa's cookies by accident?

Apparently this man named Santa is watching me all the time. Don't you think that's a little bit creepy? And did he see me when I dug the chip bag out of the garbage? Would he really object to that? Am I really such a Bad Dog?

The trouble with training...

The trouble with training is that my person doesn't only do it with ME!

Here are some of the other Dogs my person does the game called training with. This is Baggins. My person thinks he looks like Elvis with his bare, hairy chest. Who's Elvis?

Hannah.

And Cletus.

They are being Good Dogs for Christmas, and are being very patient while the people stick funny things on their heads.

And what was I doing while my person was playing with other Dogs?

I was being Good Dog too. I was waiting with Momma C. I really, really wanted my person to come over and pet me, or train with me, or anything...  PLEASE....??

Momma C and I waited and waited and waited...
I'm glad she was there waiting with me. Also she had treats. And also my littlest person was there too. Also with treats. But still - shouldn't we all be together?

And then finally it was my turn to play and train with my person. No silly pictures for me this time though. Whew.

I think all this waiting politely means I was a Good Dog for Santa, don't you?
