The last day of the year

The people say that today is the last day of the year. I am not sure what this means - how is tomorrow any different from today? But the good news is that we found more SNOW!

Also, Ojo found a banana peel, also in the snow!

The snow is very deep. I have done much rolling in it, and we have also chased snow balls!

Happy last day of the year, friends! (Do you think the new year will still have snow??)

Merry Christmas

Happy Christmas, friends! I hope Santa was good to you! He brought us SNOW!

And Ojo wore a Christmas ribbon! (I did not. I am too old and too dignified for that!)

Merry Christmas!

Santa is coming soon! (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

My person is very sick, so she hasn't been able to help us with Blog. In fact we've barely been getting Walks... But at least we've been getting food puzzles to keep us occupied! (Hurray for food puzzles!)

Our person is slowly getting better, and guess what? Christmas is coming!!!

Christmas means Santa, and Santa means our dog-paw stockings will get filled with yummy-to-eat treats and chews! (I was good this year, I swear!) I can hardly wait!

There are also two presents under the tree that say "To Ojo" and "To Cobi". I am a Very Good Dog, so I have left the one that says "To Ojo" alone. I did however pick up the one that says "To Cobi" and take it to one of my people, just in case we were allowed to open it! But I was told no, we have to wait until Christmas. That is still four whole days away!

For Christmas this year I am hoping for snow! And yummy things to eat! And something that squeaks! And maybe some turkey, too!

I do not need a Couch of my own this year because I've been allowed on the one we have! It is my job to to snuggle with my sick person on the Couch to help her get better!

(And do not worry, Grandma - I promise I will not sleep on your Couch! I will be Good!!)

Is Christmas coming to your house too? Or maybe some other holiday celebration??

Selfie

I did some selfies with my person!

I am very patient, to stop and do selfies when there is so much to sniff. I think that deserves cheese, don't you?

A good idea! (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

We got new Mats! They smelled funny, so our person put them outside to get fresh air. I think this is the perfect place for them, don't you? Now I can nap outside and still stay warm! What a good idea!

Still snowy!

Winter sun and snowy hill top.

Oh how we love you, crisp winter days!

We put our noses into the breeze. There are so many things to smell!

When we get thirsty, we eat snow. (But not yellow snow.)

This is our friend Jo! She was visiting. Now she is gone again. We hope she comes again soon! It won't be the same walking in the snow without you, Jo!

SNOW!!!

Nature brought SNOW!

Just a teeny, tiny bit. But still, it is SNOW!! And sun too, to keep our backs warm!

We love snow! It keeps all of the scents and smells so fresh!

There was also a Very Cold Wind, but that is okay. We both have our winter fur on, and our person put on many layers too.

Also, Ojo may have eaten some frozen deer poop. (Poop-sicle?) Oops.

Hurray for snow! Hurray for Winter! Hurray for frozen deer poop-sicles!

Could we have some more snow, please!

Today

Today the sun shines on my fur. The water is cool on my paws. The breeze is soft and crisp.

Today is a good day.

Cheese would be Good

You have cheese.

Santa is coming. But he will only bring you presents if you are Good.

Do you know what would be Good? Sharing that cheese.

If you share the cheese, we will tell Santa that not only were you Good, but you were Very, Very, Very Good.

I already have the letter to Santa started. Your choice. Will you share the cheese and be Good? Or are you going to be naughty?

Beach Day!

Friends, I am eight-and-a-half years old. This means I am very wise. It also means that my body is a little slower than it used to be. And that's okay.

But when I am on the Beach I feel like a puppy again!

I love the Beach! Do you have a Beach too?

Pee Station! (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

We found a Pee Station conveniently located in the woods on our Walk today!

It had many pee-mails on it!

Isn't that nice of the people to put a Pee Station in the woods for us?

A present!

Our person was given a present! It is a "settling blanket"!

One of her clients made it to say thank-you. Isn't it pawesome? It is very soft and thick and comfy!

Ojo and I couldn't decide who would get to lie on it first, so we are sharing!

Il pleut! (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

Il pleut!

That is French! It means that it is raining. And raining and raining and raining!

We went for a very long Walk! This Walk was fun because we got to explore a place that we haven't been to very often! It was full of interesting smells and sights!

This is a lake!

So the Walk was pawesome!

It was only when we got home that I realized that my whole body was WET. And very cold.

Momma C toweled me dry, and then wrapped me up.

But I am still wet. And I am still cold.

Will I ever be dry again???

Couch? What couch?

Couch? No, I am not on the couch. I would never go on the couch. Because that's not allowed.

Okay, fine. I am on the couch. Can I go to back to sleep now?

Waiting for Simon

I am waiting for Simon.

We are going to go on a Walk together.

Simon has been my friend since we were both very young. Now we're middle-aged, and we still like to Walk together. (I am older and wiser of course, by two whole years!)

He is coming soon. I will wait for you, Simon!

There he is! Hurray! I found Simon! (And his person, too!)

Isn't he handsome?

I catch the Rake!

Today I was Very Helpful!

Rake came out to play in the Yard!

When Rake comes out, my job is to catch it!

And bite it! And chew it!

This is very helpful. My person says so. She says things like, "Cobi, stop it." I'm sure she means, "Cobi, stop that Rake!"

This is one of my favourite jobs, and I am very good at it. Ojo not so much. She does the thing called "staying out of the way". Silly Dog, it's so much more helpful to chase the Rake!

That was so much fun! I love you, Rake! Please come out to play again soon!
