Winter sunshine

I sit
Upon the rock
With moss and grass and happy dirt

My fur
Warmed by winter sunshine.

I listen
To winter birds
In branches bare in crooked trees

My fur
Warmed by winter sunshine.

Ojo sits
Watches, listens
Her fur warmed also by winter sunshine.

I sit.
Beautiful pose
Waiting for cheese
My fur
Warmed by winter sunshine.

I too love winter sunshine, although there is not much warmth in it at this time of year in Aberdeen.

A wonderful poem. But we're trying to decide if we like winter sunshine or cheese the best. We think it's a toss up. Both are best.

We had some winter sunshine today too … for about five minutes!

I love this! I also love the feel of sun-warm fur when my hands are cold.
