Sunrise! (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

We got up early! But not that early I guess, because the sun is sleeping in longer now! But still early for us! And we went for a Sunrise Walk!

The sun was barely starting to peek over the mountains and the trees! The birds were not even singing yet!

The squirrels and bunnies were not awake. I am not sure why I was awake.

But I will never, ever say "no" to a Walk!

You cannot see it very well, but there was frost on the ground! It melted very quickly in the peeking yellow sun. But all of the nighttime smells were fresh and crisp!

It was a lazy Walk. We did much sniffing, and much stick-chewing. And our person pointed her big-black-eye around taking pictures.

And then the sun came up fully into the sky, and the day was started. Hello, new day!

Those pictures are beautiful - such lovely light. But I am not sure about these sunrise walks myself. At this time of year here in Aberdeen I usually get taken for a walk BEFORE sunrise and frankly I would happily stay in bed for another hour or so.

We are getting up earlier, the sun is getting up earlier, too. We love those early morning walks. SHE especially loves the early walks without frost and many layers of clothes.....

You look like you're really enjoying those first rays of the day.

We hardly notice the days are shorter thanks to all the rainy days we have had. We had the rainiest week in 100 years. It washed away roads. enjoy some sun for us.

You guys are sure early risers! (The only time ghostwriter sees the sun rise is if she's coming home from working a midnight shift.) But it looks like it was worth it to see such beauty in the early morning.
