Where I came from (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

Way out there, across the water, and keep going for a long, long way, is where I came from.

I have now been here for longer than I was ever there.

Sometimes I smell something that reminds me of that place, long, long ago. Sometimes I think about the first family that I had, and I wonder what they are doing. If they ever wonder what happened to me. If they hope I'm okay.

First family, I do not know why you did not want me any more, or why I spent all that time living on the streets and then in the shelter, but I forgive you.

First family, if we had not parted ways I would never have met my forever family, and I would not be living in this amazing place. On an island, surrounded by water, covered in mountains and forests. With Cobi and my people, who have loved me and played with me and fed me amazing meals for almost three years now.

First family, I hope you are doing well, and I hope you are happy. Because I am very happy, and I would not change a thing. (Except for maybe adding a second breakfast to the day. That would be good.)

Great post Ojo! I'm so glad you have found your forever family. I often wonder if Zoe and Phoenix remember their previous families and if those families ever wonder about them. I also hope they are doing well wherever they are.

Dearest Ojo,
While you are from the US and a lot like Hailey, your story is more like Phod's. Hailey was rescued at 3 weeks. Phod on the other hand had a person/people who wasn't nice and was found on the street. These stories make Lady's heart hurt. She is very glad that both you and Phod found loving forever homes and can forget about what bad things happened in the past. Phod and Lady are going to be sharing more about what life was like for Phod when he was new with us. We are proud of you for forgiving the first family. We know that was hard.
Hugs, cousin Lee and handsome Phod

Second breakfast sounds very appealing to the collies too!

I'm sorry your first family didn't work out, but it must have been fate, because you are right where you belong!
