Because nothing beats a good roll

It is true...

...that nothing beats a good roll in something stinky.

Ahhh. Perfect.

Ode to the Beach (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here! I would like to give you a poem about the Beach!

Oh Beach!

Your water comes in and out. I do not know why.
But it does.
And when it is out there are rocks and sticks.

I love your sticks!

Oh Beach!

Sometimes you are empty and we are alone. I do not know why.
Other times there are birds, and Dog Friends too.

I love Dog Friends!

Oh Beach!

Sometimes you have many stinky dead things. I do not know why.
But when there are stinky dead things I eat them.

I love stinky dead things!

Oh Beach!

Sometimes my person throws sticks. When I run, Cobi chases me. I do not know why.
But she does.
Chase me.
It is very annoying.

I do not love this. Even though I love Cobi.

Oh Beach!

But sometimes I can get in front of Cobi! Sometimes my person holds her so I can run alone.
I do not know why she does not do this all the time.
But she doesn't.

I love running on my own in the water! With sticks! And waves! And cool splashing wetness!!

Oh Beach!

We do not visit you every day. I do not know why.
But when we do visit I have very much fun!

I love you Beach!

(Can we visit again tomorrow?)

Hose! (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here! I am with the HOSE!

Hose usually only comes out on hot days, or after we've gone to the Beach. But sometimes the people waste it by making it go on the plants an dirt! How silly is that?

Clearly Hose is meant for Dog mouths, not for the dirt!

I open my mouth WIDE...

...and Hose goes inside!

Do you have a Hose living at your house too?

More on the Park! (by Ojo)

Hi hi hi! Ojo here!

Cobi did NOT do the story of our Park visit justice! It was AMAZING! We met DOGS! We chased BALLS! We chased DOGS chasing BALLS!

I ran!

And ran!

And ran!

I rolled in the grass! I lay in the grass! I ate the grass!

It was the most amazing time ever!!

For my birthday we went to the Park!

Well, the people say it was for my littlest person to play soccer, but I know that was just an excuse. Clearly the Park visit was for me, because I haven't had that much fun in a very long time!

Even Ojo was fun!

Hurray, I love the Dog Park! Can we go again soon??? (Perhaps it is my birthday again tomorrow?)

I am Six!

Today I am SIX!

This is very many years. It is hard to count that high! This is as many as all of my paws plus both my ears. Or else all of my paws plus my nose and my tail.

What is important is that I am a Wise Dog now. But I am also still fit and athletic! I can zoom with the best of them. I am pretty much perfect, I think!

This is me as a puppy, even before I met my people. Wasn't I perfect and cute then too?

This is me a little bit older. (What was wrong with my ears? Why are they floppy like that? I do NOT have floppy ears. Maybe the camera made a mistake?)

And here I am with all my brothers and sisters. Happy birthday to them too, wherever they are!

Chicken House Raid

Somewhat unfortunately, we share our Yard with the creatures called Chickens.

These are strange creatures. We are not allowed to eat them. We are not allowed to poke them with our noses. We are not allowed to chase them. (Although one chased ME once. That was very upsetting.)

The Chickens dig in the gardens (why are they allowed to dig when we are not?). They eat bugs and worms. They scratch and roll in the dirt.

Actually, Ojo digs and rolls in the dirt too. And she also eats bugs and worms. Maybe Ojo is a Chicken?

But the best part about the Chickens being out in the Yard is that their Chicken House is empty. Did you know that the Chicken House makes the yummy things called Eggs?

So we are going looking for Eggs.

Did you find any? Hurry up, Ojo! The Chickens will be back soon!

Why can I not dig? (by Ojo)

Ojo here! Excuse me, but - if you are allowed to dig in the dirt, why am I not allowed to dig in the dirt too?
